Smoking

I know nobody wants to hear this, but where can you smoke at the Royal Playa Del Carmen?

Hopefully this will help you quit if the RPDC doesnt allow it, although something tells me though that smoking is unfortunately allowed somewhere on the grounds. I did read that there was no smoking in the rooms.

Enjoy anyways

No smoking in enclosed restaurants, but the Royal DOES have smoking rooms. Pretty much out in the open, you can smoke.

Mexico is still very smoker friendly. You can smoke anywhere outside. Please dispose of your butts properly. Don't throw them on the beach. It is not a gigantic ashtray.

RNegage, you can smoke just about anywhere on the OPEN grounds of the RPDC. Our room was non-smoking and they didn't provided an ashtray so my mom bought one in town and left it out on our balcony. There were no ashtrays provided by the pool either, so she would get a small cup with some water. There were ashtrays on the tables outside of Spice, and if I remember there were trashcans with ashtrays throughout the property. She also smoked at most places we went in PDC. It was very smoker friendly for her. HTH

"Nanny Government, that tells you how to live, has not yet crept into Mexico. It will after enough Americans whine about smoking and many other do-gooder things that make Mexico different"

and thats a good thing?

First of all, I don't have a problem with smokers, just as long as its not in my car, room, house, job, or near me when I am eating, or hanging out at the pool. Nothing like drinking or eating out of an ash tray. I prefer to taste my food/drink.

Enjoy

P.S. And the problem is they don't dispose of the butts properly. I see them all over the beach and roadways of Mexico. How attractive is that?

We had a OV room last year that was smoking, out side tables by the bars had ashtrays and the Italian rest. next door had a smoking area outside. We took a ashtray with a lid to the beach. When we would smoke anywhere else, we'd walk off , away from every body.

Same thing can be said for drink cups. Maybe they should ban drinking too.
