LIST FOR TRAVELERS: Things to remember to bring

Everyone should post a list of things that we often forget to bring or things we wish we brought once we got to the resort. This way we can ensure we all have the most enjoyable vacation.

- Insulated Mugs

- Bug Spray

- Hairdryer

- Air Freshener (room may have a "musty" odor)

- Cheap night light, it's dark in the room and there is furniturue where your shins don't expect!

- Plug adaptor, so you can plug in your mp3, camera, camcorder and so on to recharge all in the same place.

- If you read, several books. Between the plane trip and the beach, it's amazing how quickly you can go through a book!

Sandals that don't slip as the walk ways and areas around are usually made of marble or slippery concrete.

If you going to an all-inclusive bring a small clutch purse to bring with you for meals, just to hold glasses, room key, lipstick etc so you don't have to go back to your room and you can just leave in on the table when going to buffets for meals. You don't want to leave your whole purse unattended.

Flashlight - we hit a power outage once and it's extremely dark.

Last year as we were unpacking in our room, I realized I forgot my daily medication [ at home in a bag on the counter waiting to be packed ] I started to freak out and remembered from reading on TA that most meds can be purchased over the counter in Mexico and pretty cheaply too. So for anyone who forgot medicines, don't forget this: go to any farmacia and check out what they have: viagra, blood pressure meds, anginal meds etc.

I was in the DR last year and the night we left to return home, I got severelly sick. I was riffeling through my suitcase at the airport in front of everybody to get to my immodium ( which I never had to use the whole two weeks ). I would have paid $100 for that immodium at the time. That's how bad I needed it, and it worked immediatly. So don't forget the immodium, and also asidopholis is supposed to be good for the bacteria in your stomach. You can get it in pill form at the health store, and take one before every meal and its good for your stomach flora.
