Advice needed-Trip to Riviera Maya.

Hi,

Can anybody help?

Want to go to Mexico at the end of August, not been before but my partner and I want somewhere luxurious, all inclusive and romantic and were thinking Riviera Maya.We would like to be near a town like Playacar or Puerto Del Carmen as we don't want to stay on the hotel complex all the time.We also want to do watersports on the beach at the hotel or nearby. We are looking at 5 star hotels.Food has to be excellent and rooms to die for.Any suggestions?

Check out Royal Hidedaway..adults only(primarily couples) 20 minute walk on the beach or via the streets(or $5 taxi ride) into the heart of town...The entire beach area in Playacar(that is where the Royal Hideaway, as well as many other hotels are located) has been completely reclaimed, and you can do water sports there. In our opinion the food is excellent. liv

Playacar isnt a town - its a sort of gated community of villas and all inclusive hotels, next to Playa del Carmen, the town. If the ocean is behind you, to the right of the ferry dock is Playa del Carmen - Playacar is to the left. It's sort of a suburb of (or part of) Playa del Carmen.
