Just back from RPDC

Just got back from RPDC. First time there and was blown away by the place. Any questions?

Sounds like you had a great trip!

Not the first time in Playa for us, but first time at RPDC - 10 more sleeps!!

Typical questions for more recent guests:

How was the beach (any smell, any erosion, chair/cabana availability)?

How was the pool (cold, chair availability)?

Did you try the house wine and how was it (thinking of picking some up at duty free before leaving instead of buying there)?

Wife wants to know if they have flat irons in the room for her hair.

Did not spend much time on the beach(pool person). I did not notice any smell except for 1 morning but it quickly went away. The few walks I did take on the beach, I saw plenty of open chairs and cabanas

The pool was warm as bath water for 4 days then it got cold for some reason.

The towel game was kept to a minimum for the first 4 days we were there. I new group of people came in on Sunday and the towel game was in full force. I was in room 293 overlooking the pool and saw people putting towels on chairs at 5am. By 8am most of the chairs by the pool were taken. Saw a few arguments over this issue.

I did try the house wine(white) did not care for it. Just asked the wife about the flat iron and she said that she did not see one.

We had a great time at The Royal. The staff could not do enough for you. If you are going to sit by the "noisy" pool Prude or Ilena the pool waitresses are great. They will get you anything you want. Have fun and enjoy!

They do provide flatirons, they're in the closet.

Only thing in my closet was the hairdryer~ no flat iron.

Ricky.. LOTS of beach cabanas you'll have no problem getting them. There was a slight drop off just as enter the water.. no other signs of erosion until you walked next door. Their beach was all sandbagged.. not The Royal's beach .

Craven.. did you like the room you got? Did you see any of the evening shows?

Quick question about the toiletries provided by the RPDC. Do they include a razor and shaving cream? I'm trying to minimize what I bring with me on that front.

Was there last month, don't remember seeing a razor and cream. And NO flat irons. We were in 2 different rooms, neither had one.
