Thank you, Trip Advisor!

We are, sadly, back home and before I completely enter the World of Reality, I wanted to extend a huge thank you to those that offer great advice. This was our first trip to Mexico and everything went SO well. I lurked this board daily....here are some of the best tips I learned that I did not find anywhere else:

Bring an insulated cup to AI

USA Transfers were professional and timely

Edventures offers one HOOT of a day!

Save 5th Avenue for the evening...and it's totally family friendly

Trust the tried and true wisdom of the posts...not the random comments

And....don't worry, Be Happy....Mexico offers a true vacation experience!

Riviera Maya is GREAT! So happy you enjoyed your vacation. We're hooked. First visit was in Feb/12. We've already booked our 4th visit for Nov/13. Gotta love it!!

We stayed at Sandos Playacar and it was perfect for our family. Granted, we have nothing else to compare it to but we have nothing but great things to say! Took a few photos but mostly just enjoyed ourselves! :)

My family is not very adventurous when it comes to eating, so we only ate at the steakhouse, the brazilian, the mexican, and the italian buffet. All were great....we had a blast with our waiter at the Mexican and the Brazilian food was incredible! Entertainment was fine, for something to do but really not a worry if you miss it. Michael Jackson was good, the fire show on the beach was windy so they cut it really short, there was a martial arts thing that started out ok but really wasn't fabulous. If you have kids, go to the shows but I wouldn't schedule myself around them. The daily entertainment staff are beyond excellent---great energy, connect with kids and adults of all ages and really go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a great time.
