Early A.M. Hot Coffee

As an early riser and coffee lover I wonder if someone knows the closest place to 1st and 14th for a basic hot cup of coffee (or pot) :) So much has changed recently and the place I found last time is gone. Don't mind a little walk. But just want coffee early. Not 8 or 9 am. Like 7 am. And I don't want to be at a buffet or "restaurant" - just coffee and maybe a little breakfast if I decide to stay.

Help me before I pack my two-cupper-yuck-try to travel light. Thanks!

Yeah, the only place I have found open early 6:30 or 7 is Starbucks, I'm a little disappointed in the one near me though, and its not cheap, 37 pesos for the large size. The coffee is pretty good though, so I bite the bullet if I am in need early. All the local owned places seem to open at 8am - much to late !

Guess I must bite the Bux bullet! I wonder if someone opened a "coffee bar" where the wait-staff came around asking to top off your cup would suceed in a "resort" area? I've been told by my friend that lives in a tiny town on the Coba road that there is really no such thing as this-you always "pay" for each and every thing whether its a favor, directions given, roadside help (of course that) and "topping off" is pretty non-existant. Maybe in an AI though not what I've experienced the few times I've stayed AI.

Thanks TDG.

The 7/11 on 5th between calle 4 and calle 6? Opens early and they have cappucino too.

The little "La Vagabunda" in that area opens early also.

Out of luck for early am java - an option to packing your two cupper would be to head to Starbucks and grab some of their micro ground packets - basically it's instant coffee - this of course assumes you have a way to make some hot water. I've been doing this for the past few years as waiting until 7am for SB to open and shelling out the cost of two Sols for my morning fix is crazy. Nothing like a good cup of coffee while waiting for the sun to rise!

I am always looking for coffee early and sometimes a problem. But now in Veracruz so much coffee available.

I am sure they are here but I haven´t seen a Starbucks. Maybe too much good coffee here for them to compete.

Thanks all! I remember running to 7/11 and waiting for opening (8am I believe) so I could get a bandaid-they sold me one for $1 :)

No choice-we were headed out for the day. Now I bring a few.

In theory 7-11s open at 7. I know that isn't slways the case in Mexico, but I think they were open early each morning I was there last.
