are vaccinations needed for Mexico? from Ireland but will be travelling from the us to Mexico in May.thanks.
We are from near London. Been to Mexico twice and going back for the third time in Sept. We have been told no vaccinations required. We do take a good mossie repellent and my husband where's a wristband which he recommends.
wristband? what is this for? mosquito repellent will be an essential for me,have been bitten on previous holidays.
The only vaccination I would recommend is the Tetanus booster.
The wristband is a repelkent. We got ours from Wilko but if u can't find before you go, the reps usually have them you can buy. If your very prone to being bitten like my husband - he wears one on his wrist and one on his ankle. He changes them half way through our 2 week holiday. Hope this helps.
ah very helpful, good to know.thanks for your help.
No problem. Any other quedtions let me know and I will try and help.
My family doctor recommended Hep A. It's endemic to the area and the long term effects if you get infected can be pretty nasty (as in, no alcohol EVER for the rest of your life).
Thank you for that Llisa. I will make sure I have even though my doctor hasn't recommeded. Rather be safe than sorry!
Vaccinations are recommended - Tetanus, Typhoid and Hep A
I would suggest you contact your GP as that way you will get professional advice
