Long term condo rental

Thinking of flying down and spending a week in search of- two bedroom furnished condo, not more than a 10 to 15 minute walk to 5th ave. 6 month rental, November to April. Do you think I would be able to locate and get booked something in a weeks time? Will fly down late August or early September. Price range around US$ 1500.00. Thank you

Have you checked on www.VRBO.com. There are many many condos listed on that website. Some are also listed as long-term rentals.

Also check homeaway.com Some of the rentals are on both websites and some are not. High season/low season varies depending on these rentals as well as hotels. Expect to pay more for November, December, January. When using homeaway.com (easy to use) scroll down to the bottom of the condo ad and you will find calendars (and rates). No matter what price you add it up to be always try for something lower when emailing the owner.

As far as can you do it in a week? If you do your homework and get your search narrowed down to like 5 or 6 to look at before deciding - you could do this in 2 days easily. Good luck!

Oh here's a P.S. Some of the units may not be available for you to look at but the owner usually posts an array of photos on the rental info. If you are searching online at either vrbo or homeaway - if there are not at least 10 photos (including exterior shots) then you may want to keep searching. If you find any of the units unavailable to walk thru when you arrive then at least you will get a great idea of the location and what the grounds look like.
