Hotel suggestions -- Tulum

I know these "help me pick a hotel" posts are a dime-a-dozen, but here goes another one. Thanks in advance...

When: 4 nights in mid-January (so our choices are already limited)

Who: a gay couple who wants to feel welcomed

What:

* beautiful beach area

* no car, so walkable to other places to eat

* don't need super luxury, but do need a comfortable bed

* wi-fi in room, if possible ?

* 24 hr electricity preferred

* ceiling fan

* patio or balcony

Budget: no more than $200 per night (~maybe up to $250)

Places we've been looking at so far: Cabanas Tulum; Piedra Escondida; Ahau; Tita Tulum; Mezzanine

Thank you for any other suggestions.

There is a gay hotel called Adonis apparently !

The other place is coco qui perfumes !

I don't think there would be a problem anyway

Tulum everything is walkable or you can rent a bike for five pounds a Day

Cabanas Tulum is great. They are rearranging the hotel into two separate hotels, CT and The Beach.

Ahau is the best one from your list that has all/most of your wants.

would hope you & your partner feel welcomed at all places in Tulum.

I looked at Tita as well but we decided against as it seems more family oriented than other places we were looking at.

Piedra - didn't like how their beach was surrounded by rocks so isolated from the rest of the beach (I believe?)

Maybe just do a search for your dates on hotel booking websites like Expedia to see what comes up for your dates.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I know about Adonis, but I'm not really a resort kind of person, plus I don't think there's really a beach there.

I'm actually now leaning toward Nueva Vida de Ramiro now. It's a lot over the budget, but most of my other picks don't have full availability -- and NVR looks pretty great. It's been on my radar for some time.

Thanks again.

Looked at a lot of places and we decided on NVR.

We thought of NVR also, but they are booked for our dates, so we are going with Cabanas Tulum.
