To and from Tulum ruins to Ado station

Going to Playa del carmen from Valladolid by Ado, we like to make a stop in Tulum to see the ruins before taking another ado bus to Playa del carmen, our stop for the day. Is there only one Ado bus station in Tulum? When we arrive in Tulum, we will need to leave our suitcases at the bus station lockers, is that safe to do so? We'll problably get a taxi to the ruins, how far and how much would that be? Is it easy to find a taxi from the ruins to get back to the bus station in town after the visit? How early do we need to get to bus station before the departing tim in general? Can we purchase ado tickets in advance in any ado ticketing points for other departing destinations in general?

Yes, only one bus station in Tulum, they have lockers for luggage at the Tulum bus station.

A taxi to the ruins will be 70 pesos. Tons of taxis everywhere , you'll have no problem getting one back to the bus station, it will be the same price. I would wait and buy a ticket to Playa after you get back from the ruins.

Afternoon first class departures are approx. every 1/2 hour from Tulum.

If you buy a 2nd class bus ticket you could wait a long time, there seems to be no real set schedule fro those, at least that has been our experience ;)

You can also take the colectivo to Playa for 35 pesos

Love taking the colectivos, 20p each to the ruins but can be a little slower, so for a couple, 30 more pesos in a taxi will get you there quicker.

Little more difficult to colectivo to Playa with luggage, we did it, but asked the driver first and they made a little spot for it, we don't have very large bags.

We are leaving for Mexico tomorrow, feeling a little stressed as we are very likely to miss our connecting flight with only 1hr45mins to connect in MIA. Still planning our trip at the eleventh hour! Thank you all so much for that great info !!

105 minutes between flight? Why are you stressed over that amount of time?

Find out where beverage/food places you like are located since you should have time to spare.

If I were going to stress over connecting at any airport, it would be Miami, Babou. You should have more than enough time but everyone has their own comfort level. I don´t have much recent experience with Miami and it would be interesting to hear from some who actually do.
