Is air conditioning necessary in June?

Hi,

My fiance and I are planning on going to Tulum in June for our honeymoon. I've been to other parts of Mexico, where I wouldn't want to be without a/c, but it sounds like we might not need it there? Can anyone tell us if it's needed in June? Thanks!

We do fine as long as we have a beachfront room with fans that run all night long.

Depends on your level of comfort with heat and willingness to sleep with the windows open to the sea breeze. As Pepper says, with a beachfront unit and fans, you should be fine.

I had my whole family down in July once and we were fine but I did need to run to the store for an extra fan so I could set it up pointing right at me while I slept (sometimes celing fans aren't enough for me).

As above….beach front is required……not 'garden view rooms just a tier back from beach front'

If you are from San Francisco, then you will need A/C. The low temps at night will be in the mid to upper 70's with high humidity. During the day, upper 80's. June is also the start of rainy season here in the tropics.

As others stated beachfront you may be ok. I can take the heat pretty well, it gets over 100 degrees at home a lot in the summer, however I don't enjoy being warm while sleeping.

The perception of warmth and/or humidity highly depends on where you live...
