paying for trips

Does anyone have any recommendation for the best way to pay for trips?

Which is best, debit, credit, USD or Local currency.

I understand that the beach venders are reliable and offer good value at the Grand Pineapple Beach so I will probably be using them mostly.

So far I am planning a helicopter trip, stingray city and a island taxi tour.

Any advice appreciated.

Regards

Dave

Of those you mention the first two will definitely take credit/debit cards, but a taxi tour will usually need cash payment. Either US or EC dollars are fine for this.

Bear in mind that for both the helicopter trip and stingray city, you'll also need to factor in the cost of transportation to get there in the first place. These will also be cash.

Thanks.

So the beach venders accept credit card payment or do they work on a commission basis direct from the trip operator.

No. They normally take cash deposit. Credit Cards are with the company either in their office, over the phone or on their website.

Bear in mind that the deposit you pay a beach vendor is usually equivalent to the discount you can get if you book direct with the tour operator (where you are effectively your own vendor).
