Location advice

Hi there

Can anyone tell if this B&B is well located? i.e. not too far from the center and/or whether the area is noisy.

Thanks!!

The street can get traffic, but it's about 5 blocks east of the Jardin (heading up hill), so a good location. You might also check out Las Terrazas, just across the street, and probably more comfortable...

How about Casapapaya or Casa Frida? Any comments on location or other amenities?

I second the suggestion of Las Terrazas. Check out their website, the casitas are truly as lovely as they look on line.

The walk down to the Jardin is no problem, it's fun to look down into the Jardin and check out the action there (parades, dancers, whatever). The walk back is uphill, and we often take a taxi back up, but taxi fares are low, and taxis are easy to find.

Casapaya and Casa Frida are both quite away from the centro, the latter not really walkable. Both look nice and get good reviews. It all depends on your budget. Las Terrazas is 2-3 more expensive than the other two.

Thanks for recommending Las Terrazas. Currently suffering from B&B research overdose!

Have you considered renting a house instead of staying in a B&B? Here's a beautiful one I saw recently that is about 1/3 closer to jardin than Las Terrazas. It has soundproof glass on the streetside and a fabulous rooftop view of the parrochia. It sleeps 6, so it may be more than you need, but when divided by several people, the cost is reasonable.

Re #7. It would help if you could identify the property in which you are staying, since several have been mentioned in this thread.
