Construction in Cabo

Friends just returned from Cabo and said the main road thru Cabo is under construction and is a real mess. Does anyone know when this is suppose to be finished. We are planning a trip in Dec. Want to stay at Cabo Villas. Is the construction still going on next door at the old Hacienda? Also heard there may be new building going on at Cabo Villas.

Most of the construction around Cabo Villas is completed. Unless something new comes up, should not be a big deal. They just completed the Bayview suites and just doing some finishing work. Not sure about future plans.

Road work is really not that big of a deal, unless you live and work here. Should be done by Dec.

We got back from Cabo Villas 2 weeks ago, and we loved it! Yes, there was constant construction noise, and sometimes it was very loud, but we were so awed by the view we hardly noticed.

If you're facing the bay, the construction to the right (old hacienda) was probably 2-4 months from completion. The construction to the left (new Cabo Villas tower) looked to me like they had a bit more to go, maybe 5-7 months. So I'll bet that's done when you go in Dec.

We didn't drive, mostly walked, but the main road had lots of traffic due to the construction, and we saw a few backups as we walked around, but of course we could've cared less, we were walking!

Last time we were at El Pescador, the whole street was torn up. This time, it looked almost pastoral! I wouldn't worry too much. Have fun!
