**Daily Weather Update-October 2011-The HAIKU Edition**

Welcome to October!

Well we made it through another long, slow, hot Cabo summer and locals are gearing up once again for high season! Cruise ships are back, businesses have a fresh coat of paint and you can feel a renewed energy in the air as we venture out of our air conditioned hibernation and embrace the hopes of a new season.

Expats who flee the summer heat are slowly returning to their winter Cabo homes, vendors are polishing their wares, time share sharks are sharpening their teeth, and this weatherman is looking forward to reporting lots of comfortable mid 80's days ahead.....

Only down side is we didn't get our usual dose of summer rains, so we are still a little brown around the edges, but otherwise, Cabo is ready and waiting for you........

Here's the traditional link to some great beach cams, perfect for pining away between visits.....

So, without further ado, let's get to that October weather, accompanied by a daily inspirational Haiku (when I'm not hungover)

Tuesday, October 4th

We're still in the mid 90's and will probably stay that way until around the middle of the month, but it's still nice to know relief is on the horizon. Some of you may be perfectly happy with mid 90's, but I could go with about 10 degrees cooler myself. Nothing but sunshine and blue skies at 1pm and, according to my state of the art weather center wind gauges (garden palms), very little breeze at the moment. I see one cruise ship in the bay and a fair amount of water activity.

*******

Another fine day

Beauty and sunshine abound

Cabo San Lucas

(I'm going with the 5/7/5 syllable haiku, skipping the traditional seasonal reference. Please no purist critisizm of my haiku attempts or I'll send you on a timeshare presentation to the Mayan Palace, follow you around with a turtle whistle and make you drink Cuervo gold)

You had me holding my tongue at Turtle Whistle.

I am proud to admit that I have NEVER bought one, but have to admit that I have spent gawd knows how many dollars bribing the little....um...rascals.....not to blow them until I am down the block.

Turtle whistle blowers are just barely above those that drink wine out of a cardboard box.......*wide-eyed innocent grin*
