AeroMexico Flights

I have been reading thru the threads. Someone commented that AeroMexico is not reliable.

I got a great price with them and booked back in October for our June 2014 trip from Chicago.

It was $409 round trip per person. However, we got notified that our flights have changed.

So far it is okay...............just wondering what kind of experience anyone has had. We usually

fly American or United. Do I need to worry???????? Let's see we are now down to 99 days and counting!

Hi Sharon....I hope your gang is well..I think someone posted that Aero Mexico is also taking some flights under the Delta name. So far no complaints mentioned. You should have few weather related issues in June.

Hi Rocky, we are all doing great....thanks for asking......I read about a delta/aeromexico thread that did not seem to be very positive. Last week I received an email for two flight changes. We leave Chicago about an hour earlier so our layover is longer. On our return we leave Cabo about 2 hours later. I am glad I caught it because they left us on our connecting flight that left 1 hour before we arrived. Oops! I called aeromexico and they put us on the later flight with no hassles. Just wondering since this is a new experience for us. For a

savings of $1,000 I could not resist trying.

We used Aeromexico for a nonstop flight from Vancouver to Cancun about 6 years ago. We had some small issues, but I might try it again to save that much money. I would pack carry-ons well, in case they lose your checked luggage. Or just do carry-ons, not that I can pack lightly!! More than half our flight didn't have luggage on the plane when we landed back in Vancouver, at least it was there when we landed in Cancun! The line at the Aeromexico counter to do paperwork on all the missing luggage was ridiculously slow! That was just the end of annoying issues. We really got to know fellow passengers on that trip, lots of waiting.

We had a number of flight time changes, delayed flights, confusion at their counters at the airports, sitting in a plane in Cancun for almost 2 hours before take-off with no ac (in July) for mechanical issues and very miserable flight attendants. Food was included but not good! Sorry to sound negative. It may be different now and it's different locations, etc.

Saving $1,000 makes it well worth a try. Just keep track of things like how you caught that your connecting flight needed changing :-)

I started the thread on the delta aeromexico. I got worried and called delta they said that particular flight is operated by delta she also said I check in with delta not aeromexico and she also said the plane will say delta on it so makes me feel a little better. I am not sure how all this works so confusing

If it's a Delta plane then it means you pay for your (alcoholic) drinks, pay for your headphones, etc. If the plane says Aeromexico you get all that for free.

I'm more concerned on the reliability of company rather there are a lot of changes , cancelled flights, customer service. I will gladly pay for any drink or food
