1) Can anybody tell me where Unit #9401 would be? It's supposed to be a 2 BR/3 BA Penthouse. I'm guessing it's on the 4th floor?
2) When we went thru our timeshare presentation last year, the seller (who was plenty polite) explained that the Solmar honors was planning on "taxing" the resale market with a 25% levy to encourage people to buy from the developer rather than resales. Anybody know if that's true? The last thing I want to do is agree to pay $20K and then have GS hit me with a $5K "tax"
For anybody interested, we traded into the GS and did the timeshare presentation just to see what it was like. The 90 minutes turned into almost (4) hours but that was because I was seriously interested in buying and asked a lot of questions. We did the haggle as well and the 2 BR Presidential suite we were after started out at being valued at $70K+ but immediately was dropped to $38K. They were going to buy our Park City unit for $13K so we could get into the GS for $25K which eventually went down to $21.5K. We actually tired of the game and said no thanks and the closer manager offered a final offer at $20K. By that time, we were just toast and wanted to get on with our day so didn't buy. The crazy think is if they would have started at $20K, I would have bought the unit instantly.
We're returning in October to stay at Cabo Azul in San Jose del Cabo and decide which complex and area we like better. After that, I **WILL** be convincing my wife we need a 2BR unit in Cabo. I'm not a "relaxer" and normally need to be on the go but Cabo was the first place I ever went where I actually relaxed....for 80% of the time.
