yes i looked at that...that's what im worried about.

I would just go it all alone and do it all myself but i feel i wouldn't know where to start, where to even think of going, although the areas of BC sound really nice and also i am severely hard of hearing i am unsure how i'll manage all on my own....hence the question of escorted tours......hmm......

Hi there,

I'm a solo traveller from Australia looking to do an escorted your around Canada for the same reasons, I can't be stuffed planning every detail on my own. The one thing I hate is that every tour which looks resonantly priced is way more when travelling alone especially if you prefer to stay in a hotel to a hostel.

What time of the year are you going? Maybe we could go as twin share. I'm mid-30's female here in Canada for work.

This post is quite late based on your question but if you've booked a tour what did you choose in the end?

Cheers

Irene

Hotel rates are usually close to the same amount for single or double occupancy, and if you book the tour as a single, then the tour company only gets half a hotel room paid for, hence the supplement. Hostels usually charge per person rather than per room. Just fyi - It doesn't soften the financial blow though. :-(

When my dad went to Peru with Gap, he just shared with someone else. He indicated he was a single traveler and was paired up with another single traveler and the two of them got on famously and continued to correspond afterwards.
