Driving from Manitoba to B.C on Trans Canada Hwy

Every year we drive from Mb to B.C, but this year we will be towing our trailer (26')

Just wondering where are good free stops to sleep along the way? Rest stops/walmarts etc.

Are there certain areas where over night stops are not allowed?

Not all Wal Marts allow overnight parking.. This site will help you decide which ones do :

I have seen trailers parked in Revelstoke at the end of the bridge at a large lot. IF you do choose to park beside the hwy ( rest stops ) it won't be a quiet restful sleep to say the least..

I've never used it so can't speak to how accurate it is.

Driving the Yellowhead Pass route through the Rockies is easier on your vehicle because the pass through the mountains is so much lower, with gentler grades on either side. Check the mileage/route on Google maps - you may want to make a loop of it. We usually drive to Winnipeg via Jasper - Edmonton - Saskatoon - Regina - Winnipeg.

Stopping overnight other than in a campground is not allowed in the national parks.

Thanks for the tip!

We are visiting family along the way (Calgary) so that is why we take the Trans Canada rather than the yellowhead.
