Sunscape Dorado Pacifico questions

We're planning on a trip to the Sunscape next month and have a few questions:

Is room service available? If so, is there an extra charge?

Is the ocean swimable? Most pictures I've seen show a very rough surf and no one in the water.

Are hair dryers in the room?

Is wifi available without extra charge, at least in the lobby? Does it work well? (Or should we even bother taking our iPad?)

What beverages are stocked in the in-room fridge? Any beer?

Is any public transportation available to get to Zihuatanejo or is a taxi necessary? About how much would it cost?

Many reviews mention elevator problems - how many elevators are there?

Are beach towels available? Does the resort use a card system for the towels?

That's about it. I'm sure we'll have more questions as the time approaches.

Thanks, K

Buses 7 pesos (last year) going up & down the main avenue about every 2 minutes for the 15 minute ride to Zihuatanejo's El Central.

Yes the ocean can be rough. Zihua's bay much better for swimming.

We were last at the hotel 2012

-there is room service no charge (smaller menu)

-beer, water and soft drinks replenished daily in minfridge, included in your A.I.(only replenish want you use and if you like diet drinks just request)

-no cards for towels just help yourself , and no wrist bands

-2 computers just before coffee place, work well and no charge

-water is rough, under tow can be dangerous and big waves!

-can cab it or take a bus (cab rates posted in lobby)

-only 2 elevators and they can be slow or busy especially leaving room at dinner time

-there is a hair dryer and coffee machine

When did the get rid of the other two elevators?

There was:

A bank of two elevators by the front desk, and another bank of two elevators across from the clothing shop.

Most line up at the ones in front of the desk.

We would just walk to the other bank, and get right on. Talked to folks there that were clueless as to the other elevators. I mean how could you miss them? lol They are right across from you as you look out the one you are in!!

(I secretly suspect these are the ones on the freeway that make me late for work as well!)
