Vallarta Palace or RIU Palace better for 7-8 Year old

Have been to Iberostar Riviera Maya, Beaches Negril.

Thinking about RIU Pacifico or Vallarta Palace, which would 7-8 year old prefer?

Which has more kids, kids activities, and better beach?

How is RIU Palace Cabo in comparison?

We stayed at Vallarta Palace last April (very end of Spring break). Most vacationers were families with children. They have a separate pool area, with activities going on there and beach. Shows at night were early, and geared toward all ages (circus show, karoke, etc). Rooms are geared to couples, though-small, and most rooms have french balconies (stand-only!) No drinking games here either-anywhere. VP and RIU Palace Pacifico are on same beach (close proximity to each other). RIU's have separate pool for children, plus rooms are all jr suites. Their pools are more waterslide/falls type. Haven't been to new Pacifico, but RIU Palace Las Americas, think all RIU Palaces are similar? Both places are very nice/comparable amenities .. depends on what Mom and Dad want!!

Noticed something about a previous message above and maybe I misunderstood but not all rooms at the Riu's in Nuevo are Junior Suites.

Another thought about comparing the Riu in Cabo to the ones in Nuevo - is the weather. Alot cooler in Cabo and although I think they have a small area where the water is assessable, most of the beaches in Cabo are non swimmamble. The beach in Nuevo is wonderful.

The Riu Palace Pacifico has one large pool with no water slides. There is no kids pool.

RIU Palace Pacifico & Las Americas - all rooms are jr suites or suites (larger than jr) - plus 24 hr room service - Palace is just a different tier of their resort line. Jalisco and Vallarta - have jr suites/suites as upgrades.

The pool at the Palace is heated, not sure if it is at the Vallarta, there is also no pool slide at the Palace.

We are also looking to book the Palace Vallarta with a 7 year old. I don't see any comments about it being child friendly.
