I am thinking about going to Puerto Vallarta. Which area has the best beach for walking? Any suggestions for an adults only all inclusive resort?
The best beach for walking would be in Nuevo. It is flat, fairly level and smooth and you can walk for miles on it.
That being said, there are no adult only spots in Nuevo. The few are in PV with smaller beaches.
I agree with Bob. Nuevo (new) Vallarta has the best beach area by Far. Pt.Vallarta has break water..jettys and sand in most places are small pebbles. plus at the Marina area Oil/slick Ugh.
I think Nuevo has the better beaches as well. Depending on when you are taking your trip the Riu Palace tends to not have lots of kids there. And you would also have access to the Riu Jalisco and the Riu Vallarta as a Palace guest. Beach is great and you can walk in either direction for miles. No use for water shoes in the Nuevo area:)
Agree 100% with MistyAngel. Have stayed at RIU Palace twice. Closest resort you will come to regarding adults only for AI. We have gone in May in 2012 & 2013 and had very few kids at the resort. The beach is great for walking unterrupted for miles in either direction. You can walk to north for about 45 minutes to an hour to a small mexican fishing called Bucerias. Several restuarants/beach bars with great seafood. Highly recommend Dugarels for dinner or lunch. Enter from the main street. Also flea market and many stores along with small beautiful open air Catholic church in the middle of the main square.
Check out Villa La Estancia very low keyed rated #1 here on TA.
AI is available upon request. If you like peace, service, no towel or chair challenge this may be the place.
One can rent a condo via VRBO. This resort is close to a large grocery store and many restaurants.
It is not adult only yet close.Edited: 16 January 2014, 01:18
