Did you go on a trade or as owner? Size of unit you stayed in?

Did you eat/dine lunch and dinner on site? Or where did you have those meals?

What was best thing about Grand Bliss for you?

Any suggestions for a trader?

Hi Bezerk

1. We are long term owners (8 years).

2. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite.

3. We prepared the majority of our breakfasts and dinners in the room. We experienced the breakfast buffets at Samba and Del Lago. The buffet at Samba is lower priced and correspondingly the variety and selection is smaller. Breakfast at Del Logo is approx. $22 USD/person.

We had room service once. It took a long time to get it and it was crazy expensive - fish tacos and a hamburger with fries for $42 USD. We had just returned from an over night trip to Guadalajara and just wanted some simple comfort food. Having had the room service pizza the year before and not liking it - this seemed to be our only option.

We had several lunches poolside at the Grand Bliss pool. They offer food from Chiringuito. We tried a variety of all things Mexican on the take out menu and the price generally was, including tip $15-$20 for 2 people.

4. We ate off property a few times:

* La Dolce Vita (Av. Palmas 3 | Nvo Vallarta Segunda Entrada, Nuevo Vallarta 63735 Mexico , (322)2970403

Excellent Italian food, linen table cloths and reasonable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating. $75 USD – including tip for two including 2 liquor drinks each and coffee.

* Mauricios Mauricios (Carr, Las Palmas 176, Las Juntas, Puerto Vallarta 48291, Mexico (322)2902733) Absolutely authentic true local Mexican hangout with simple mexican food with seafood. 3 large portioned shrimp dinners including (complimentary appetizer, soup, and dessert) 2 beers each, tequila and coffee liquor for 3 was $45 USD + tip.

* La Morenita Lazaro Cardenas #19, Bucerias 63732, Mexico (329)2982094 - This is a wonderful jewel in the heart of Bucerias. Good food and very moderate prices - $20 USD for 2 including a beer each and tip. As indicated by their 4.5 star rating on Trip Advisor -well worth the trip. This restaurant is very close to My Mexican Kitchen (great Mexican cooking classes).

5. We were extremely pleased at the quietness of the Grand Bliss pools. There were plenty of comfortable vacant chairs all around the pool areas. One could easily find a quiet spot to catch up on reading, bask in the sun…or simply have a doze. There was no shortage of umbrellas available either. The poolside wait staff were ever present but not intrusive. Happy hour took place from 11-1 p.m. each day. 2 for 1 drink specials from a limited bar menu. The average price for a mixed specialty drink during happy hour was $4.50 USD + tip.

As mentioned above, we prepared many meals in our room. Due to the fact that we like to shop at farmer’s markets (La Cruz has the best one yet!!!), outdoor vendors and fresh produce – we particularly enjoyed the double fridge and the kitchen area that was both roomy and offered plenty of storage areas.

The king side bed was firm but comfortable. The maids who come in twice per day provided impeccable cleaning during our 3 week stay. When I had to ask for an operational coffee maker (they presently use cheap Black & Decker plastic models) the staff were very prompt and accommodating.

6. No suggestions for a trader as we have never done it.

KFPx2,

Great info thanks for sharing.

Farmer’s market in LA Cruz could you expand on this as local, time etc. Did you take a bus?

The market takes place every Sunday and Wednesday from 10 to 2. We took a cab $15 usd each way.if you feel adventurous you can always take the local bus. There is so much to see and buy...every thing from fresh seafood (amazing fresh tuna steaks), local fresh coffee and cheeses, handicrafts, honey, pasta...and that is in addition for fresh fruit and vegetables. Can.t recommend this market enough.

I think the LaCruz market is just Sunday. Bucerias has a nice Wednesday market atthe Rosa Mexicana restaurant on Lazaro Cardenas street.

Sue,

What is the time?

Will be walking from the path at the end of NV.

How far would you say it is from the path that starts in Bucerias. This it towards the Hwy. or the beach?

Thanks

Does the Grand Bliss have it's own pool or does it just share with Mayan Palace. Are the pools heated? Any construction going on at Grand Bliss?

No construction at Grand Bliss. Grand Bliss has its own pool. Not sure if pools are heated but I just got back from Grand Luxxe and the pools were warm but then again it was scorching out.
