mayan palace

can anyone tell me if this is a no cash policy resort. In cancun they do not accept cash for anything Everything is added to the room. I'm wondering how this will work if you have two families staying with you.(don't want to get stuck paying their tab) In Mazatlan you can pay as you go. Thanks

When we were there last year we had another couple in our suite also & they let us pay cash. But you never know in Mexico, its a hit or miss deal. It sure doesn't hurt to ask & be firm. Just beware of the timesharks!!! The Mayan Palace has the worst of the worst. Also be sure & ask to stay in either the red or yellow building. Those are alot closer to the pool & ocean. Be prepared to do alot of walking, the place is huge! Another option may be paying your tab (have them keep it seperate from the other couple) every night, not all at the end of your stay. Watch your bill VERY CAREFULLY!!! They some how added a few things on ours that we did not order. Good luck!!!

t_mattie you can pay as you go or you can put it on your room tab. Even if you decide to visit the Mayan Palace in P.V. for the day you can put on your room tab in Nuevo or pay right away. When you check in they will ask for signatures from everyone who you want to sign tabs. They will cross check these signatures via computer. Very safe system. Just ask everyone to keep their copy of the bills they signed and at the end just pay for your own bills when you check out.
