so you got into this with full knowledge are you aware of the devastating fires from last year and the damage it has done to some trails and roads if you planned on hiking?
Yeah. Worried about what it will be like down there but seems people are still going. Is it still prettty?
I will be going in July as I consider there is still plenty there for us.
It will be a different landscape but still worth seeing. One thing to look at is how nature renews itself after a fire rather then the burned out trees sitcking out. and, if hiking you will want to ask which trails will be open before you set off for the day.
Bear Mountain Motel is a fairly basic motel. I've stayed at the Crandell Mountain Lodge - the rooms are fairly simple, but clean and comfortable. Not the thickest of walls, and there's no onsite meals/restaurant etc, so you'd be on your own for meals.
Waterton Lakes Lodge is definitely the nicest of the three, with amenities and onsite restaurant(s). I've eaten there - good food and relaxed, fun atmosphere. If you have the budget, I'd probably for the WLL.
