Banff to Waterton

After spending 10 days in Banff and Jasper, we're heading down to Waterton and Glacier. We have a day to drive from Banff to Pincher Creek, where we're spending the first night. What route should we take? What are sights of interest along the way? We'll already have done a lot of hiking.

Which Glacier National Park? The one in Canada or the one in the US?

With the reference to Waterton, it's likely to be Glacier NP in the US.

I would get an early start, perhaps see a bit of Kananaskis Country, the go south via Hwy 22 (Cowboy Trail). You could stop and see Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump and Frank Slide.

Agree with Ksned...start early, go through Kananaskis through the beautiful Highwood Pass. I'd take a small detour and stop in Turner Valley for an AMAZING breakfast/brunch at Chuckwagon Cafe. There is a great Gin distillery right beside it as well that does tours. Then head south from Black diamond...one of the most beautiful drives around!
