Just wondering if my calculations on time are correct for being able to make this trip without really rushing...Here are my ideas...
Possible first day (monday)....drive to/overnight in Whistler (4-5 hours driving w/o stops)
Second day(Tuesday) Whistler-Revelstoke 6.5 hours driving without stops)
Other option of first day (if we leave one day later) Skip Whister....
Day 1(Tues) Anacortes-Revelstoke 7 hours driving (without stops)
overnight in Revelstoke to be fresh for......
Day 2 (Wed) Revelstoke-Banff (4 hours driving no stops) BUT want stops!!!
Golden/Lake Louise possible gondola ride???
overnight in Banff
Day 3 (Thurs) Take our time from Banff to Jasper, Icefields, lakes, falls etc
overnight in Jasper
Day 4 (Fri) Early morning drive Jasper-Edmonton (4 hours no stops)
afternoon shopping at "The Mall"
overnight in Edmonton
Day 5 (Sat) Maybe more shopping if not worn out then....
Edmonton-Saskatoon (no stops) 6 hours driving
Must arrive in Saskatoon on Sat evening.....
Any thoughts or advice? Mostly concerned about driving time being correct to get the best traveling/scenic routes in during daylight. This will be mid-September. Appreciate your time, counting down the days!
