Dress Code - Fairmont Lake Louise Afternoon tea

Hi all,

3 sleeps until we leave our shores for beautiful Canada! Which means I am starting the think about packing. On our list of possible things to do is to have afternoon tea at the Fairmont Lake Louise and I wondered if I could get away with jeans? We aren't planning to go anywhere else that would require "dressing up" and I don't really fancy carrying extra clothing for one event only. Thanks for any advice!

(And yes I'll be posting a trip report when we get back!)

you could send a quick e-mail to the hotel but I can't imagine anything being too fancy in the mountains in the summer. i'm sure jeans with a nice shirt would be fine.

I found this on the webpage for the Fairview Dining Room at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise; I'm sure the guidelines for afternoon tea would be the same:

"Dress code is resort casual. Denim is to be in good repair and no athletic wear."

fairmont.com/lake-louise/…

This is the same dress code that is used at the Fairmont Banff Springs restaurants.
