Is July 1st/2nd too early for Sunshine Meadow?

I heard August is the best month for Sunshine Meadow for wildflowers. How about beginning of July this year?

It's probably too early. Sunshine meadows is usually snow-covered until mid-June, and a few years ago it was snow-covered in early July too. (There were record snowfalls in the winter.) Sunshine Meadows is part of the Sunshine Village Ski Area, and they have live webcams year-round:

It's definitely not the time for flower variety. On the other hand, the July 1 weekend is often glacier lily time, and the glacier lilies between Sunshine Meadows and Healy Pass can be breath-taking. So, as C_W suggests, keep an eye on the webcams.
