A good and mid - ranged price restuarant in Banff

Hello,

I am coming to Banff for the first ever time this coming weekend on Saturday, July 13. I am wondering about a good mid-ranged priced restaurant that 2 of us should try on the Saturday night. I am coming from Vancouver and we are open to all types of food.

I look forward to seeing responses.

Earls is there, same as Vancouver as well as the Keg. For local fare I like the Balkan (greek restaruant). There are lots of great food in Banff at all types of price points.

I would definitely prefer not to eat at Earls or the Keg. I could eat that any where. The Greek place sounds ok , but I am open to all good suggestions.

Every time we go to Banff, we also spend an evening at El Toro, they have an amazing Chateaubriand. They cook it in front of you and it's delicious.

It might be helpful if you let us know what you think of as mid-range pricing. How much for dinner for two with beverages and tip?

My idea of of mid - ranged priced restuarant would be for the main course to costs $20 or less before taxes or tip. As for beverages, neither of the 2 of us like drinking, so that is not an issue.

Maybe try Coyotes, or the Bear Street Tavern.

Alberta is well known for its beef. Brome Lake duck is famous. Bison bistro ( the upstairs of Bear St Tavern) makes a point of using locally sourced items, as does the Maple Leaf. But you will not find much at these properties within the price range you have defined.

On edit: oh, sorry, just realized that this was not asked by the OP. If you want to ask about local fare, might want to start a new thread, because it doesn't related closely to the title of this one.
