We are planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies for mid May. Accomodations for the Banff and Lake Louise area are not difficult to find. But the last few days of our trip we would like to spend in the Jasper area and from what I've been reading accomodations in Jasper are overpriced and/or
older and in need of maintenence. We would like something in keeping with the rustic feel, but perhaps newer with a touch of class. Any suggestions? We are not opposed to staying in a bed and breakfast or driving out of town a bit. The Jasper Fairmont Park Lodge is not in our budget. We are traveling with one other couple. Also, are there generally many tourist around that time of year? Thanks for any suggestions!
