GF of mine went there for her birthday & LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!
Friends of ours went last year for an autumn break and also really enjoyed their stay.
the Vancouver to Vernon is 5.5 hrs |(both are google driving time)
The Calgary to Vernon is more dramatic going thru the Rocky mountain range.
the Vancouver is via the Coastal Range which are smoother tops.
a compromise for scenic is to the follow route #3 to Penticton then north to Vernon which would add 1-2 hrs to going via #5 the Coquihalla Highway.

If you have never been to this part of Canada/B.C. then any route you take will be totally jaw dropping!!
What time of the year are you considering this trip? Because Sparkling Hills just happens to be in the Wine Napa Valley of the north..
Guess it depends on what part of the US you're flying in from.. Once you have that figured out come back & we can off routes and a trip of a lifetime to get to Sparkling Hills resort/spa
Thank you for the quick responses! We are looking at a late June or early July trip. We have been to Vancouver a couple of times, but this will be our first trip to that part of Canada/B.C. The pictures we've seen from that area look stunning! Flights are about the same into both Vancouver and Calgary so we're just trying to decide the driving part.
Hi vacation Planner
Just wondering if you made it to Sparkling Hill Resort last summer? If so - was it everything you'd hoped? Would love to hear your thoughts as we are also planning a trip there this year!
