Cabin At a Lake for Canada Day Long Weekend

We're hoping to find a cabin near or on a lake for the Canada Day long weekend ( check in June 28, check out July 2) for 2 families ( 2 bedrooms would work). We're totally open to the Okanagan, Shuswap, perhaps even the Invermere/Windermere area.

So far all I can find is weekly rentals, or high end condos. We're looking for cozy lakeside cabin.

I also want to avoid being right in the mountains - we live in Canmore and are seeking some heat & lake vs cool mountain nights!

I would love any resources anyone could pass along!

This may be too far for you to drive for a long weekend.. but we stayed in a yurt here and had a great time..fishing was catch and release got "attacked" by beavers swimming around the boat one evening as they had kits nearby..easy light hiking....not sure how warm the water is as we were there in late May when we went. The Yurt was huge there were 4 of us but it could accommodate more people easily..separated sleeping areas so fine for 2 families..they have a range of different places.

You've left it pretty late to try and find something.

Really doubt that you would find a weekend only rental for the kind of property you are describing. They are typically in week-long increments.
