Hi Barbara ~

If you drive Hwy 5 all the way down, it will be smooth driving, maybe some construction places.

This highway live (in daylight) webcam page is open to the Southern Interior Regions (SIR0. Hwy 5 is on it:

Highway 5 from Tete Jaune Cache (west of Jasper) to Kamloops is two-lane (single lane each way) highway, with a lot of truck traffic and very few passing lanes. Parts of it are a bit winding. South of Kamloops, #5 is the Coquihalla, which is a freeway (controlled access divided highway, 2 lanes each way). Have a look at it with streetview on google maps - www.maps.google.com - drag and drop the little person icon in the top left corner to any spot on the road that you want to see from road level.
