Weekend in Okanagan, best place to stay for two

We are planning a trip to Kelowna, and are looking for some suggestions for where to stay. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, wineries, etc. Should we stay in Kelowna? West Kelowna? another town? We will have about 5 days, and will have a car. Any suggestions for food, wineries, hiking, drives and hotels would be appreciated!

I'm guessing that you are middle aged adults without kids? In which case I would look at Naramata, or Oliver, although Oliver is not on the water. But it is a charming little town and the heart of the wine industry.

This eclectic place is pretty nice http://www.godsmountain.com/ although there are some high-end wineries with max 10 rooms like http://www.bovwine.ca/ I've stayed at both and they are both excellent.

Hi

Two great choices are Playa del sol resort in the lower mission close to great wineries, beach and mission creek walkway, or on the west side Barona beach which is directly on the beach and a short drive from Mission hill and quails gate winneries.

Hope you enjoy your time here

Hmmm, what a strange coincidence Sherry C has four posts, all of which have the above resort and/or a tour company link in them, and that the tour company reviews mention an owner named "Sherry".
