One week with baby and husband - where to stay

Hi!

We are looking to come for one week mid-late June and looking for a vacation-rental type place to stay. We need somewhere we can cook and have a couple bedrooms in a reasonably quiet place. We like to hike/wander and enjoy the water. Plan to see some wineries (hopefully some good ones!). We will have a 9 month old with us. Any suggestions that would help us are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Click on the green holiday rentals tab at the top of this page & start looking. Most of them are in the downtown area.

Casa Loma in West Kelowna has 2-bedroom condos. It's on the beach, close to wineries, and Kalamoir Park for walking. They have a few cabins, too, but those book up fast. Further out south of West Kelowna is Seclusion Bay. It's a little out of the way but should be quiet. On the beach, condos and cabins. You'd have about a 10-15 minute drive in to West Kelowna and 20-25 minutes to Kelowna.

There are condos in the downtown area close to the water and beaches, with a Sunset Drive address.

Manteo Resort, 10-minutes south of downtown, has two-bedroom townhouses, a beach, restaurant (though it can get noisy because of the acoustics).

All the wineries will be open for tastings. A few offer tours. Knox Mountain is close to downtown for hiking. Mission Creek Greenwway is good for flat walking on a dirt/gravel path.

The okanagan, summer and reasonably quiet is difficult to find. Check out the Borgata Lodge at Quail Ridge area about a 20 minute drive to downtown. They do have 2 bedroom units with cooking facilities but not by the lake. Anything close to the water is going to be party central.

Stay downtown if you can. There are lots of nice walks and you are close to the water, restaurants etc. condo rentals are discovery bay and waterscapes. There are lots to rent there and they are beautiful places.
