Do you plan on using a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot or just rolling out a sleeping bag?

Check with the local community centre if they have a pool they almost certainly have showers/day use fees.

Maybe try the truck stop at Edwards and Ackland.

According to walmart.com (note that this is not walmart.ca, but I couldn't find an answer to the question there): "While we do not offer electrical service or accommodations typically necessary for RV customers, Walmart values RV travelers and considers them among our best customers. Consequently, we do permit RV parking on our store parking lots as we are able. Permission to park is extended by individual store managers, based on availability of parking space and local laws. Please contact management in each store to ensure accommodations before parking your RV."

Using a provincial park shower is a good idea, unfortunately, there aren't a lot of provincial parks nearby to the WalMart in Kelowna.

Usually they will post in their parking lot if they allow overnight parking. A lot of the US Wal-Marts are 24hrs where ours are not. If it is by itself, then usually yes. If it is in a strip mall around other stores then usually no. It will all depend on whether Wal-Mart owns the property or not.

As for the shower, head to the local pool and pay for a swim. You don't have to swim but sometimes a nice soak in the hot tub before a shower is nice.

Kelowna walmart always has rvs parked overnight in summer. For showers I'd follow the sugestion of going to the pool. Closest to walmart would be Athans pool on Hartman rd.

Chrissy is right, the Kelowna Wal Mart has many RVs parked overnight in the summer, some are already there now.

The Parkinson Recreation Centre (city owned and run) is the closest place for a pool, hot tub, steam room and showers. Less than 3 km away and easy to get to. Athans Pool is farther away and harder to find for a newcomer to town.
