Geocaching and Scuba Diving in Nanaimo?

Nanaimo boasts some of the best temperate water scuba diving on the planet! With the former HMCS Saskatchewan and Cape Breton, sunk as artificial reefs next to Snake Island, Nanaimo offers the largest artificial reef system in the world. The wall at Snake Island, drift diving at Dodds Narrows and rubbing Buddha's belly at Orlebar Point off Gabriola just add to the attraction.

It just got better as long time local diver, Bob Simpson, has created 4 underwater geocaches "where a scuba diver would want to go and the ones I've created take them to some of the best dive spots on Vancouver Island". Great work Bob!

Great addition to Nanaimo's excellent Scuba Diving Tourism infrastructure!
