Khutzeymateen Tours

Are there any bear tours to Khutzeymateen that are reasonably doable in 1 day? If not, what other options do I have?

"What Sam said"

they have a license to get you into the sanctuary, and so their float plane trip is the way to go.

We spent a day on this Adventure tour last July.

It was a fabulous scenery and wildlife experience, highly recommended.

FYI Palmerville, although a good operator, does not have a permit to operate within the sanctuary. Only The Sun Chaser with Dan Wakeman and the Ocean Ligh 2 with Tom Ellison have permits to do so. The Rest of the Khutzeymateen is a Conservancy and anybody can operate within it.

I would recommend you the H2O adventure tour...Located in Prince Rupert in front of the Atlin terminal building.

The guy has full access to the sanctuary...We went on august 9th 2011 and we saw a big mom and her cub...It was awesome...

It takes about 1:30 (from Prince Rupert harbour) to get to the sanctuary but the scenery itself is worth the trip...

162.00 for 6 hours & and a snack

Enjoy!

h20 adventures has a great tour in seven hours. It is in a open 29 ft titan zodiac, full access to the entire inlet and sacuary. GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK!!
