I was wondering if you can actually view the whales from the shore at this time?
I was thinking of coming out this weekend but we have been the subject of "whale watching" failures many times before!
Grey Whales aren't particularly interesting to watch much of the time.
Unless you're quite close to/right on top of one-all you'll see is a dark back slipping through the water and *maybe* a puff of foul smelling vapour from their blow hole.
There are place where you can see them feeding and sometimes breaching but local operations don't like to visit those small bays/coves repeatedly-and rightly so.
No chance of seeing one from shore *unless* a small one enters the harbour right in downtown Ukee-which I have seen in the past.
