Where to stay with a 38ft Class A Motorhome

We have a 38 ft Class A motorhome with a tow vehicle. Is it advisable to drive to Tofino? Where should we stay? Are the RV sites big enough to accommodate our vehicle?

You should contact the campgrounds directly.

Here is the list:

In the National Park

Greenpoint Campground

In Ucluelet

Island West Campground http://www.islandwestresort.com/camping.cfm

Surf Junction (just outside town) www.surfjunction.com

Wya Point - I don't think you can get the "big guys" in there

Ucluelet Campground www.Uclueletcampground.com

In Tofino (well, actually just outside Tofino)

Bella Paciifca - www.bellapacifica.com

Tofino Campground also called Long Beach Campground(actually at Long Beach Golf Course/Grice Bay area) http://www.tofinocampgrounds.com/

I don't think I've missed any of them, but if someone notices an oversight, let me know.

If you can get a view site at Bella Pacifica that would be great. Just above the beach.

At Crystal Cove the campground is really well done, just no oceanviews.

Don't recall Green Point having services but if they do have power ect, then that would also be a good set up.

We stayed at Crystal Cove and its perfect. Right on the beach, but also sheltered if the weather is bad. Some of those beachfront campgrounds looked really exposed and would be very unpleasant in a storm

Hello Patti P!

When were you thinking of going to Tofino? Traveling on a whim to Tofino can be challenging during the summer months if you haven't made a reservation. Since you would need a specific type of RV space, I would highly recommend booking in advance.

Bella Pacifica (http://www.bellapacifica.com/) and Crystal Cove (http://www.crystalcove.ca/) are located on MacKenzie Beach and have full-service sites.

Long Beach Golf Course (http://www.longbeachgolfcourse.com/) isn't right on the beach but it's close enough to Long Beach (plus they have a fantastic restaurant on-site!).

Green Point (the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve campground) is located in the heart of the National Park and has direct access to Long Beach. The only thing is is that they don't have hook-ups or showers (and they book up very quickly). Beautiful location though!

Happy travels!
