Best source of fresh fish/shellfish in Tofino?

Will be in Tofino for a few days later this month (July). Our lodging includes a kitchen and BBQ, so I'd like to prepare some fresh seafood. It can be surprisingly difficult to find quality fish/shellfish in small coastal communities, where can I find the best in Tofino or Ukie? Don't know how dynamic the local fishing is, any possibility of dockside sales?

Also, when is the peak Grey Whale-watching period in the Tofino area?

Dockside sales come & go with no set pattern look for homemade signs-there is a seafood store in Tofino & one in Ukee as well-expect to pay even more than city prices.

Also much seafood here is FAS-Frozen at Sea-since distances are great and freezing a product right away is better than having it sit on ice for a week or more at a time.

Dungeness Crab is always fresh though.

There's also The Fish Store (and Oyster Bar) in Tofino's Shore building on Main street: 250.725.2264
