Tipping & Electic sockets....

Two quick questions as my trip rapidly approaches (can't wait to visit Vancouver for the 1st time!) Are tips included on restaurant check, as in Europe, or is it tipless,US style? Also, do US appliances (hairdryer, etc) work without converters in Canada?? Thanks so much!

You'll love Vancouver! If flying in, be sure to look out the plane window during landing. The mountains are spectacular.

For restaurant tips, electricity, and more, you'll want to read the Inside Canada: tripadvisor.com/Travel-g153339-s1/Canada:Ins…

Just slide the page down to 'For Foreign Visitors' and click on Tipping & Etiquette and Electricity

Tipping and electricity are no different in Canada than they are in the US. Enjoy your trip!
