Toddler-friendly accommodations?

We're planning a vacation to Vancouver and looking for hotel or other accommodations with two separate "rooms" (so we can stay up after the little one goes to bed), a kitchen/ette, a swimming pool, baby-sitting service referrals, etc.

High-end price range is OK -- this will be our last hoorah for a while since we are expecting Baby #2 soon :)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hi,

The only hotel I can think of that would have both a kitchenette and a pool is the L'Hermitage.

You would have to book the premium suite to get a full kitchenette; the lower type rooms do not have a kitchen.

I don't know about baby sitting referral services but you should contact the hotel to ask this.

There is also the Carmana Plaza but I don't know if it comes with a pool and I think the L'Hermitage has nicer furnishings. http://www.carmanaplaza.com/

Both hotels are in Downtown Vancouver in quite central locations. L'Hermitage is closer to Yaletown, Carmana is closer to Coal Harbour/ Stanley Park side of things. But our downtown core is small anyways.

You might try the Grande Residence apartments at the Sutton Place Hotel. It's in the same building as the hotel's swimming pool and these apts have full kitchens.

Another possibility--the one bedroom suites at the Pacific Palisades but you might want to check recent reviews--I've heard the rooms are showing some wear and tear and I don't know if they've updated them recently or not.

The Holiday Inn & Suites on Howe has suites with kitchenettes available, a pool and babysitting.

And so does the Rosedale on Robson. BUt I'm not sure if it has a pool. But probably worth a call. Most hotels use a babysitting service so if they would atleast be able to tell you who to call.
