Vintage clothes shops

I love vintage clothes, especially 1950s stuff.

We are over here enroute to Jasper, Rocky Mountaineering, Banff etc.

Any places worth going to?

Cheers

There is a place called True Value around Granville and Robson St. (on Robson St.) on the South side of the street.

There is another great place at Davie St. and Seymour St. dont remember the name, but they have some great stuff.

Hi! I love vintage clothing! There are many arounf town. They are all over priced, but I still like to look :)

True Value Vintage right on Robson near Granville has a great inventory. Definitely check it out. They used to be known as "The Underground" because the store is down a flight of stairs next to a jewlery store and a cafe, so be careful you don't miss it.

There is also a place around the corner south on Granville. Don't know the name. But go south onGranville St past Fluevogs some pubs and music stores and you will see a fun looking T-shirt shop. They have vintage clothes in the back. And then right next door you will see stairs going up. There is a decent sized vintage store up there. I have seen some really fun designer stuff up there. Like runway stuff from the 80s.

I 'think' this is the other one that I like http://www.tigertigervintage.ca/ but I cant be sure. It looks worth checking out and is in walking distance to the other 2 above.

Have fun! Hope you find a real treasure!

PS Does Cananda do charity (thrift) shops?

We found some great ones in Austin, Texas.

Yes totally!

Salvation Army is big for these. http://thriftstore.ca/locations/

We also have Value Village which is a huge chain thrift shop. http://www.valuevillage.com/

You might stumble on some smaller church owned type ones here and there too.

There is also a few near Gastown on Powell street. It has been awhile since I hit them up, maybe another poster can comment on those. I know Woovintage might be what you are looking for.

Main Street might also be worth checking out - lots of unusual boutiques

Speaking of Main Street, I noticed this store today while we were over there and remembered your posting. Here are the yelp.ca reviews on it (with the name and address) -
