Hotel with deck & water views

We have two kids so we always spend some down time in the hotel. We love to have a room that have a patio w/ water views. Being in a big city, most hotels don't have patios in the room. Can anyone rec a hotel that has this setup or if the hotel has a rooftop deck with views.

I know that the Rosewood Georgia has a clubby pool deck but no views. Looking for something similar to the Seattle's Inn at the Market.

Looking to spend ~$250.

Recently stayed at the Granville Island Hotel and they do have some rooms with small balconies (fits 2 chairs and a wee table) and have views of False Creek; not open ocean or vistas across water to Coast Mountains though. I think you need to be very specific with your requests to this hotel for the importance of a view and a deck and perhaps would be advisable to get a written confirmation. Great location for kids as lots of interesting shops and a Kids Market.

Have a look and see if this is the right place for you.

Tough one, but the Westin Bayshore does have balconies and water and mountain views. I would email or phone them ( makes sure you are speaking with someone in the hotel and not just a Westin reservation agent ) to ensure you get what you want.

Try the Pinnicle in North Vancouver - it's waterfront with views/decks. It's a short seabus ride from downtown and has great access to Lonsdale area and quay as well as the bus depot for all the north shore mountains and attractions.

You can walk anywhere from there with the kids - hang out at the quay, watch the boats, grab a coffee...

just a thought...
