Day trips from Vancouver to Victoria's & whistler

We are spending 5 nights in Vancouver in September and are planning day trips to Victoria & Whistler, can anyone advise us on the best way to arrange these. We have been looking at West Coast sight seeing tours. We would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done the trips. For the Whistler trip it would be great to include the Rocky Mountaineer train ride ( probably one way)

Thank you in anticipation

Have a look at Landsea Tours, first into downtown Victoria, then a couple of hours at Butchart Gardens before heading back on the ferry again to Vancouver. 12-13 hours all in, consisting of 4 hours journey each way with the middle bit to visit. Pacific CoachLines does a day tour as well. They use a highway sized coach.

For Whistler, you could do Landsea as well, I believe one way south is possible after taking the train up, the train going right along the water's edge of Howe Sound to Squamish, then inland. It's a 3 hour train ride. 3-4 hours to visit, then one of Landsea, Greyhound or Pacific Coach Lines back to Vancouver.
