Trip 2015 & Ice Hockey & weather

Im looking to plan a trip to Vancouver next year. Was thinking May or June but would like to see an ice hockey match. Please could someone let me know when the season is. Have visited in September before & the weather was good. What is it like in May/June?

Thanks

The hockey season runs from the beginning of October to mid-April. The schedule should be released on nhl.com in late July.

May and June have longer daylight hours than September, but usually isn't as warm or as sunny as September (a very dry, summery month). May and June is quite lush - bright greens, early summer flowers blooming, lush grasses, etc. Rain is usually a reality that month. Not every day, and not thunderstorms, but perpetual overcast skies drizzling on occasion, on some of the days. You can also have some sweltering sunny days in May and June - it really varies and is hard to predict what you'll get. September's more reliable, but May and June can also be gorgeous if it works in your favour.

Is Vancouver the only city with an NHL team that you will visit ? The tickets are expensive. Try seeing a WHL game, much cheaper and I believe better hockey to watch.

I don't think the Canucks will make it to the playoffs this year, but they start after the regular season ends in April and carry on into mid June. No point relying on the finals to see the Canucks.
