Advice on skiing etc Mount Washington

Hello, we are ski beginners and were going to go to Whistler this year from England. However we have friends on V Island who have suggested going to Mount Washington to ski instead. Can anyone offer advice on this? e.g. ski conditions usually in March/April, what accommodation is like, ski hire, apres ski in the evenings and generally whether Mt Washington is the place for beginners and first time in Canada.

thanks in advance.

Conditions change from year to year so it's hard to predict what it will be like almost a year away. Here is the website for Mt. Washington that has all the info, although it's summer based right now.

While Mt washington is a great family hill and you would enjoy it.It is nowhere near the level of Whistler. If you wanted to incorporate your trip to a visit on the Island then its ok,otherwise IMO whistler cant be beat
