Salmon viewing in July

We will be driving from Nanaimo to Tofino the week of July 20th.

I know Autumn is a great time to view Salmon, but I just read that Sockeye can be seen at Stamp River Park in late July. Does anyone know if this is a Salmon run similiar to what occurs in September and October?

If so I will make sure to include the park as a stop off on the drive out.

Thank you

It won't be the big chinooks of late August but worth a visit...some will be early. There will be multi species.
